DIALOGUE EDITING / MIXING
When it comes to dialogue, it is not enough to just sync it to timecode. It is also important to make sure that the dialogue does not overpower everything else you hear, and vice versa. It is also crucial that the character sounds like they belong in that world (i.e. parking garage, amusement park, quiet home, etc), so it is necessary to apply the proper reverbs and EQ's to the dialogue tracks.
A Bitter Reunion
An episode of the web series Word of Mouth by R3 Shorts. This scene taken from movie Warrior (2011) was filmed entirely on a busy freeway overpass. The audio was recorded using a lav setup attached to an H4n Zoom, and was cleaned up in post with only minor ADR required later.

Wyatt Meets Doc
This scene from the web series Word of Mouth by R3 Shorts was originally in the movie Wyatt Earp (1994). The dialogue was recorded using the on-camera microphone, then I cleaned it up in post and added some background ambiences and animal/carriage sounds to help give the illusion of the two characters being in the Wild West era
